Our Values
We Believe that Food is a Sacred Tradition
At FND, we’re not just selling meat—we’re carrying on a legacy. For generations, kosher laws have ensured a commitment to mindful consumption, ethical treatment of animals, and a deeper connection to the food on our table.
We honor this tradition by ensuring that every step aligns with these sacred values. Because when food is made with integrity, every bite is meaningful.
Healthy Animals means Healthy Humans
What animals eat, how they live, and how they’re treated—it all ends up on your plate. Factory-farmed meat, loaded with stress, antibiotics, and unnatural diets, does more harm than good.
We do things differently. Our meat comes from animals raised entirely on pasture, grazing on nature’s diet, without hormones or antibiotics. The result? Nutrient-dense, flavorful meat that supports your health the way real food should.
Modern food systems thrive on confusion—mystery meat, misleading labels, and big industry smoke and mirrors. Not here.
We believe in knowing your farmer, knowing your food, and knowing exactly what’s on your plate. That’s why we work exclusively with farms that value transparency and that raise animals with care and respect. No greenwashing, no guessing—just real food you can trust.
No secrets, just good food.
ABOUT THE FOUNDER
A few years ago, my health hit a breaking point. I was on the verge of a colitis diagnosis, with every doctor’s visit focused on medications and interventions.
But I knew there had to be another way. I turned to the one thing I could control—my diet. I started sourcing food directly from farmers, visiting their land, asking questions, and learning everything I could about their practices. The results were life-changing. Within six weeks, my symptoms began to fade, and within a year, I was completely healed.
With a Master’s in Agriculture, I saw an opportunity to take my personal journey and turn it into something bigger: a mission to redefine kosher meat.
At FND, we believe ethically raised, nutrient-dense kosher meat should be the norm—not the exception. Food should nourish, not harm.
Let’s change the status quo. Let’s bring better food to our families and build something better, together.
With love,
Jessie Horowitz,
Founder of Friday Night Dinner
